If you love Hornby Island and appreciate the simple pleasures in life, we welcome you to spend your vacation relaxing in comfort at our tidy little cottage situated on a small but delightfully secluded and natural wooded acreage. You can sit on the deck or in the grassy clearing surrounded by the trees and friendly critters while you enjoy the serenity and sunshine that lasts well into the evening.

The accommodations are newly renovated, with hot and cold running water in both the kitchen and the private outdoor shower (conveniently located on the side deck). And we are lucky to have good quality water. The outdoor "biffy" is respectable and clean (please note: no indoor toilet). The cottage has a fire pit, its own yard and private driveway.

The kitchen is well-equipped with fridge, stove, microwave, toaster oven, toaster, coffee maker, blender, all utensils, cookware and dishes. Basic staples such as dish soap, salt & pepper, sugar, etc. are supplied. A family of four can sleep comfortably (1 Queen & 2 Bunks with bed linens supplied). Though a modest 20 x 20 ft, the cottage is a well laid out and perfectly functional space, and can accommodate additional guests if they are willing to use the sofa, pitch a tent in the lawn space, or sleep under the stars on the deck! Bath linens are provided, but please bring your own beach towels and additional bedding if needed. And there is TV, VCR and DVD, a large selection of family movies, and stereo/CD player for indoor entertainment in the event you are faced with any rainy days.

Several walking and mountain biking trails are accessible directly from the property - easy for you to get out and enjoy the island! And the facilities at the ferry landing, Thatch Pub & Restaurant, Liquor Store and Laundromat are either a five minute walk or two minute drive away -- as is, of course, the beach!

This is a smoke free cottage, but smoking IS permitted out on the deck. We are sorry that we cannot accommodate pets, but guest pets tend to disturb the ducks, cats and chickens on our adjacent property. The no pets and no smoking policies are also in consideration of other guests who may have allergies.
